Brittany Crosby founded The Co Pilates in 2014 from the lifelong interest, practice, and exploration of being present and aware in your body, and how subtle shifts can have profound ripple effects. Each new small discovery made through teaching for over 16 years has felt like a little pocket of magic. Brittany is a mindful movement practitioner deeply steeped in the theory and practice of Pilates as well as a Reiki master in training, and an intuitive healer. She integrates these healing practices and different types of awareness into her work and offerings in order to be a well-rounded guide/facilitator to those she works with in their self exploration and evolution.

Approach: Brittany’s core background in mindful movement comes from life long dance training and STOTT Pilates starting in 2003. Her approach to movement from a physically technical perspective is informed by Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Core Power Yoga, and Personal Training (NCSF). As her experience has evolved she had broadened her focus to the emotional and energetic body as integral in addressing pain and dis-ease and leading to patterns of movement that feel good in the whole body.

Mission: Brittany believes that how we move in and relate to our body reflects how we move in and relate to the world. She is inspired by the idea of a movement as an agent for change and how play on that word can address the individual and the collective. She sees her role in change starting at the individual (micro) and facilitating connection to the macro.

Goal: Brittany’s goal with her clients, her business, her industry, and her community is to be a part of making space for awareness and connection more accessible and integrated.

A tangible outcome is a way of being.
